visualization prototypes
Pressviz is a work on visualization & use of information.
The analisis of data can give us the essence of the data. But humans goals are complex and the data use to have more that one essence. Pressviz is about to thing and develop ways to browse, focus, adapt, rething, understand and use data and analized data.
Here we present two prototypes (that means, not using real data) of visualization for OntoGen analisis. OntoGen is an ontology construction system based on machine learning and text mining. OntoGen analisis extracts Bag-of-words representing hierarchically concepts from a text or a group of texts.
The name PressViz refers to the source of the testing-data we used. The data comes from press agencies news in Slovenia and some others countries. Download the Report about the prototypes (des 06).
PressViz I SIMPLE
PressViz I ADVANCED
A prototype to compare two OntoGen representations. It uses a 2-concentrics-squares as an on/off visual indicator and an impact % selector. You can decide what you want to compare and the scale of comparison
PressViz II
A prototype to browse and go-deep to the OntoGen representations. It transforms OntoGen representation in to Tagclouds. And introduces Casual visualizer to go deep in to the minings.
